Management and service of seismic precursory data

This paper briefly describes the Center for the Earthquake Precursory Observation Network of China (CEPONC) and the precursory data source as well as the features of those data, and emphatically analyzed the management, service and application of data collected by CEPONC. On the basis of analyzing the structure of seismic precursory data and summarizing significant features of precursory data, we select CAPOmen platform that is developed by LI Min-feng at al. and based on Double Table data structure for managing and maintaining all kinds of precursory data. Some significant characteristics of CAPOmen platform are enumerated in this paper. Moreover, this center also uses WEB and FTP tools to exchange and share data with other users, and provides some services such as precursory data query, browse, and download for WWW users, which are used CAPOmen as the background database and based on Internet browsers. Finally, come proposals related to seismic precursors are provided for discussion.
