Performance analysis and simulation study of the rotor chopper controlled induction motor

The static and dynamic performance analysis of the rotor chopper controlled induction motor is presented in this paper. The method of determining the magnitude of the external resistor and the dynamic mathematical model are deduced. Forthermore, the simulation of the system on MATLAB/SIMULINK is introduced. The result of the simulation illustrates that the analysis in this paper is simple and effective.
