Detection of ST segment in electrocardiogram by wavelet transform

A new method for detecting ST segment of electrocardiogram(ECG) signal has been developed to improve the detected precision.An algorithm based on wavelet transform(WT) has been researched to detect the characteristics of electrocardiogram(ECG),including the J point and the onsets of the T wave.The arithmetic puts the traditional J+X method and onsets of T wave detecting method together to attain the voltage of the ST segment.MIT-BIH ST-T change database and European ST-T database are choosen for experiment.The algorithm detects the ST-segment length in 94.5% beats with anerror of 4 ms,and in 98.9% beats with an error of 8ms.The precision improves.
