The air GAP field identification methods and application of bearingless induction motors

The nonlinear decoupling control of electromagnet torque and radial levitation force is the base of the stable operation of bearingless induction motor.Considering this strong coupled complicated nonlinear system,a control system is proposed in which a nonlinear control algorithm based on rotor flux orientation of motor winding is used and the needed air-gap-flux of motor winding in radial levitation controller is obtained by I-ω law.System simulation model is constructed with Matlab/Simulink.The computer simulation results show that the electromagnet torque and the radial levitation force is completely discoupled and validity of this method is confirmed.
