A synthetic control strategy for DFIG wind power generation

According to the characteristic of AC-excited variable speed constant frequency(VSCF) wind power generation,vector control technique is applied in doubly fed induction generator(DFIG).A synthetic control strategy is presented based on grid voltage orientation,which gets the same performances as stator flux-linkage orientation,and the stator flux observer can be omitted to simplify the control strategy.The modes of flexible grid-connection,running in ready state and fault ride through were established,cutting-in grid without overshoot current was realized in a wide speed range,decoupling control of active power and reactive power was obtained and maximum power point was tracked.In the VSCF wind power generation system,the motor and the grid were connected flexibly.Simulation and experimental results confirm the accuracy and validity of this control strategy.
