Precise determination of windings axes angle and model stiffness coefficients for bearingless motors

The axis angle between the two windings and the coefficients of the levitation control system are both based on a series of hypothesis in a bearingless motor,which makes a significant difference between the theoretical calculating values and the practical values.At present there is still no precise method to obtain the axis angle and the coefficients.According to the natural characteristic of the air-gap magnetic field in an induction type bearingless motor,a model of the magnetic levitation force was established,which included the axis angle and the rotor eccentric displacement.Based on the model,a new experimental method was proposed,and it can precisely determinate the coordinates relationship between the two windings axis and the coefficients,and lays a good foundation for the precision control of a bearingless motor.
