Ogyu Sori's Kogaku and Motoori Norinaga's Kokugaku in Japan

Kogaku and Kokugaku are two different schools of thought in Japan.The former belongs to Confucianism,while the latter is a school aimed at surpassing the former school.This article discusses Ogyu Sorai and Motoori Norinaga's ideas by comparison.
