PRIMARY ANALYSIS OF THE CRUSTAL MOVEMENT AND GPS OBSERVATION DATA IN FUJIAN COAST

The measurement results for monitoring the tectonic deformation with the conventional survey since establishment of the Seismological Bureau of Fujian Province are reviewed and summarized, and two stages of GPS observational data are analysed. The results show that the seismic activity and tectonic deformation in Fujian coast are controlled by the regional strain field, and that the whole features of tectonic deformation is strong in south and east, and weak in north and west, especially the southeast region in Fujian has the more centralized crustal deformation and the more strong seismicity. Based on that indicated above, the interaction among the Pacific, Philippine and Eurasia plate and the influene of the eastnorth and westnorth fractures on the tectonic deformation in Fujian coast are discussed.
