STUDY ON SEISMO-TECTONIC DYNAMICS OF QINGHAI-TIBET PLATEAU FROM ISOSTATIC GRAVITY ANOMALIES

On the basis of the Airy-Hesikannen equilibrium hypothesis,the isostatic gravity anomalies of Qinghai-Tibet plateau are calculated taking the density and the depth of upper lithosphere from the CRUST2.0 model as parameters,and then the seismo-tectonic dynamics is studied by use of the seismic data from the point of equilibrium.It shows that strong earthquakes occur often in the inflexion of gradient belt of isostatic gravity anomalies,and generally,the occurrence of earthquake is correlated to crust tectonics.
