GROUND-BASED GPS IN REMOTE SENSING OF WATER VAPOR:DEVELOPMENT AND APPLICATION

This paper reviews the development progress of GPS in remote sensing of water vapor and systematically analyzes the present situation of the applications of water vapor detecting by GPS in meteorology,such as the forecast of atrocious weather,the initial fields of meso-scale numerical prediction model,the monitoring and the analysis of global climate changes,the weather modification and the analysis of 3D water vapor layer.
