Mechanism Study on Eccentric Wear of Rod in Production Well by Adopting Progressive Cavity Pump

As more and more production wells adopt progressive cavity pump,the eccentric wear of the rod becomes serious and restrains the production of oilfield.This paper analyses the eccentric wear of production well by adopting progressive cavity pump and gives some proposals to prevent and cure the eccentric wear of the rod,which includes controlling the setting force and using the revolving anchor instead of setting,using the centering device correctly and defining the right position in the well,adopting the rotate speed reasonably,using the continuous rod and reducing the diameter of the rod.
