Experiment study on inverted emulsion workover fluid

Inverted emulsion Workover fluid was developed for low-pressure reservoir or/and water-sensitive reservoir,which outside phase is low toxicity and high flash point mineral oil(No.5 white oil),and inside phase is sea water,and emulsifier is a combination oil-soluble surfactants.Its performance was evaluated and its recycling approach was explored in the paper.Test results indicated that workover fluid possesses the property parameters such as low density,thermal stability,low reservoir damage.The used workover fluid would be transferred to oil-based drilling fluid in order to save the cost.
