A calculation method of horizontal perforated interval length in bottom-water reservoir

On the base of the study on the factors of both technical and economic indices for horizontal perforated completion development and according to the capital balance principle, an optimized model of determining the appropriate horizontal interval length in bottom-water reservoir is presented in this paper. And a new method for calculating the interval length of horizontal perforated completion is also proposed. This model can be used to define the important parameters such as appropriate horizontal interval length,appropriate development time,optimized perforated density and the location of horizontal intervals. These parameters can be used to guide the developed design in oilfield. The horizontal perforation completion optimum design software (HP-DPOD) developed on this model has obtained good application effectiveness.
