New Lossless Snubber Using Magnetism Coupling

In order to eliminate the loss of the conventional RCD(resistor, capacitor and diode),a new lossless snubber using magnetism coupling is introduced.This circuit does not exist the loss of the resistor, so it is helpful to evaluate the whole efficiency.The working principle of the snubber is analyzed in detail, and is verified by the results of the computer simulation and experiment.The switch can turn on at zero current and turn off at zero voltage.The total efficiency has been improved, especially at heavy load, it is improved about 8% than the same circuit without such snubber.
