Study on the Control Systems of High Power DC-DC Converter for Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles

There is a growing prospect of Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles(FCEV).As the main power source for FCEV,Fuel Cell(FC) is interested in its environmental concerns,but there are also some disadvantages,such as soft external charac-teristic,slow dynamic response and bad adaptability of variational load.DC-DC converter is one of the key components in FCEV,which can overcome FC's disadvantages and control the energy flow of FCEV.An output input characteristic au-to-switch method was used in DC-DC converter which adapts to different construction of electronic control unit,to provide constant voltage,constant current,coupled with the character of fast respond and high efficiency.The developed converters are successfully applied to some domestic FCEV and road experiments over a span of 60 000 kilometers are accomplished without any fault.
