Deposition and Erosion Remote Sensing Inversion of Tidal Flat in Wenzhou Area

The problems of beach dynamical physiognomy are usually related with beach inning, aquiculture, jetty construction, and sea - route dredging and so on. The deposition and erosion of tidal flat is one of the important fields in those problems. The change of deposition and erosion is a complicated physical processing. It includes many natural factors and human being factors. This paper applied data resources such as MSS, TM, ETM and SPOT, which amount to 24 time series and span from 1976 to 2002. It determined the shoreline variation of Wenzhou tidal flats at different locations, and calculated velocity of deposition, by applying waterside line elevation inversion technology based on multi - temporal satellite remote sensing images. The research conclusion built the theoretical foundation for the development of tidal flat at Wenzhou area.
