Application and Advances of Remote Sensing Techniques in Determining Water Quality

The development of monitoring water quality applying remote sensing techniques is reviewed.The main topic discussed is principles,data,and methods of monitoring water quality applying remote sensing techniques.Several water quality parameters such as chlorophyll-a(Chl-a),suspended sediment (SS) and Colored Dissolved Organic Matter(CDOM) concentrations are exampled for explaining the application of environmental remote sensing techniques.The main problems of water quality monitoring applying remote sensing techniques are discussed,and the future developing directors and the key points in this field are proposed.
