Eutrophication Evaluation of Taihu Lake Based on Quantitative Remote Sensing Inversion

In this paper,possibility of eutrophication evaluation using Landsat/TM data in Taihu Lake was analyzed.A new eutrophication evaluation method consistent with the routine means(comprehensive trophic state index) was proposed,and the remote sensing evaluation model for the eutrophication statue of Taihu Lake(the lake trophic state index model of China,TSIc) was established.Relationship of five eutrophication parameters(Chl-a、SS、SD、TP、TN、CODMn)was analyzed.The Chl-a concentration of the waterbody in Taihu Lake was retrieved and inputted to the TSIc model to compute the TSIc value(stretched to continual digital number:1~100).According to the eutrophication evaluation standard the trophic statue of Taihu Lake was classified to five degree that is oligotrophic(TSIc30),mesotrophic(30≤TSIc≤50),light-eutrophic(50TSIc≤60),middle-eutrophic(60TSIc≤70)and hyper-euthrophic(70).
