Study on Voltage Equalizing Characters of Controlled Silicon for HV Converter Valve

The controlled silicon converter valves used in HV DC transmission system are required to operate stable under various conditions, for which it is necessary to reasonably select the parameters of the controlled silicon auxiliary circuit to guarantee the stable operation of the system and reduce the energy consumption of the converter valve. A controlled silicon macro-model is used for the dynamic emulation study on a controlled silicon modular in the converter valve. Considering the on-off property of the controlled silicon, voltage oscillating characters during converting of the controlled silicon and energy consumption of components in general, the optimized circuit parameters will be given out.
