Study and Control on Galloping of Transmission Lines

The paper introduced briefly the galloping acciden ts occurring to the overhead transmission lines in China over the past a few years , analyzed the reasons of frequently galloping and its distributing characters. Based on the summarization of the study and anti-galloping methods in China the authors pointed out the problems and solution of anti-galloping. With regard to anti-galloping its stability mechanism and double pendulum dampe r anti-galloping design are briefly demonstrated. [
