Application Study of Airborne Laser Measurement Technology in UHV Transmission Line Construction

Airborne laser measurement technology, which is another new type of ground observation technology after aerial survey, utilizes airborne scanner header, IMU, GPS, and digital camera to quickly and precisely acquire 3-D coordinates and digital images of ground object and its attachments. UHV transmission line construction presents new requirements and problems to survey design. Using airborne laser measurement in UHV line construction can make full use of its high efficiency, precision, fast, all-weather, digitized characteristics to assist line survey and design.
