Study of Optimum Maintenance Cycle for Microcomputer-Controlled Relay Protection Devices Based on Reliability Analysis

Current reliability models of microcomputer-controlled relay protection devices have insufficient accuracy resulting difficulties in application.The authors introduce self-checking coefficient,examine success coefficient and fault service coefficient,improve device reliability model and compute optimum maintenance cycle.Optimum maintenance cycle calculation software is also developed to dynamically evaluate device reliability.Finally,sensitivity analysis of factors affecting optimum device maintenance cycle is conducted and two influential factors,including self-checking coefficient and examine success coefficient are identified.
