Selection of the Optimal Battery Capacity for Wind Farm

The technology for reducing wind power fluctuation is very important for the development of wind energy.The paper analyses the power and capacity of storage batteries dedicated for wind power system,and proposes a new criterion for deriving the optimal battery capacity.With this method,the optimal battery capacity is obtained on the basis of cost performance analysis by using the time constant-normalized standard deviation characteristics.The results can be used as a reference for selecting the energy storage system parameters of wind farm.
