The Static Character of the Multichain Mooring Buoy System

Based on the model test data and static analysis, two practical methods of determining the static character of the multichain mooring buoy system are given in this paper. Besides the influences of the main factors, such as multichains and the elasticity of the chain, the anchor chain pre-tension and the effect of sinkers hung on the chains have also been considered. The results determined by these methods nearly conform to the model test data.
