Precision Problems of Dynamic Load Identification in Time Domain

The presented time domain method for dynamic load identification tra- nsforms the equation of motion into the modal coordination. Then the modal force function can be identified under the assumption that within a small time interval the dynamic loads are step functions, and the time history of dynamic loads can be determined by inverse modal transformation. Some problems like modal truncation, the number of measuring point less than modal number, the number of identified load greater than modal number, the se1ection of time interyal and the noisy error in sampling data etc. will influence the precision of the load during the identifying. In this paper, the way to solve these problems will be discussed, and a simulation example is carried out to explain it.
