Fuzzy recognition theory for liquefaction potential of light loam under action of earthquake

Chen Shouyu ( Dept. of Civil Engineering, DUT )  
Based on the fact that light loam may become liquefaction under the action of earthquake and the liquefaction potential has fuzzy characteristics, the fuzzy recognition theory and method for liquefaction potential or classification of light loam is proposed. The problems are also pointed out when the maximal membership principle is applied to the liquefaction potential evaluation of light loam.
