In order to prepare stronger adsorbent to get ride of Cr(VI) in water, we added activated carbon into chitosan and the mixture was cross-linked in formaldehyde by means of microwave irradiation.Cross-linked chitosan-activated carbon complex was obtained as a result.Static and dynamic adsorption studies to Cr(VI) by the complex were studied, and adsorption curves were plotted. The results showed that the product has high adsorption efficiency to Cr(VI).
