Research of Combustion Pattern Recognition and Applicationfor Typical Furnace Flame Images

The full furnace flame TV equipment is introduced that makes the operators observe flame images directly to distinguish the current combustion status by flame appearances in power stations. This paper studies the flame patterns of a four-corner tangential-fired furnace widely used. Several pattern parameters reflecting actual combustion states are proposed. Combustion monitoring and control methods based on the flame pattern recognition technology are discussed.
