Study on Modeling Based on LMS Algorithm to Thermal Processes

The thermal process shows a characteristic of non-linearity,big inertia and great delay,which make it difficult to build accurate model and to describe the thermal process accurately,and so it is impossible to achieve ideal control effect. According to this problem,the adaptive filter modeling method based on LMS algorithm was proposed. According to error signal this method adjusted every tap weight independently,which make the adaptive filter that based on the LMS algorithm can converge to the required input-output relations rapidly,thus reached the purpose of building a model accurately. The simulation results showed the lower complexity and higher precision of the proposed algorithm,and can be applied to the thermal process modeling effectively.
