Improving flax dyeability by chemical modification

The dyeability of flax can be improved providedthe fiber is chemically modified to include quaternised amino groups.The chemical mechanism of flax modification has been examined in detail.Optimum technological process has been determined by use of the analytical draft.The optimum technological conditions of bathwise are that the concentrationof quarternary ammonium salt is 40?g/L,and NaOH is 15?g/L at a liquor ratio of 20∶1for 1?h at 60?℃.The optimum technological conditions of pad dry bake procedure are quarternary ammonium salt is 46?g/L, and NaOH is 25?g/L at 130?℃ for 3?minutes.
