Implement and Effect of Automatic Voltage Control System in Anhui Power Network

The purpose and significance for building Automatic Voltage Control(AVC) system in Anhui power network.combined with operation and management condition of reactive power and voftage,were elaborated.The implement effect for AVC system operated in some power plants and power supply companies was analyzed.The effect that brings was:decrease of reactive power flow exchange between AVC control area and external tie fine interface;reasonable distribution of reactive power output between the units in one power plant;stable exchange of line reactive power and decrease of voltage fluctuation range of hub node;dectrease of active power toss for heavy toad tie line.The control stragegy suggestion of AVC system in the future was presented.It is suggested that the right of tap -change transformer control to 500 kV substation shoule be changed from East China Regional Power Grid Dispatching Center to Prow-vincial Power Grid Dispatching Center;when there is the conflict between balance of regional reactive power and the bus voltage regulation of power plant,safery should be considered firstly and economy secondly.
