Optimal dietary protein content for \%Macrobrachium rosenbergii \%

An experiment was conducted to determine the optimal dietary protein content of feed for \%Macrobrachium rosenbergii\% at water temperature of 28.5-31.2℃for 40 days. Purified diets were used with casein as protein source to form the experimental feeds. The protein content of the feeds varied from 13.28% to 62.45%. With growth rate as index, the optimal dietary protein contents were 37.02% and 46.67% by linear regression and by parabola regression, respectively. On the basis of growing and economical factors such as growth rate, feed conversion ratio and protein efficiency, it is reasonable to recommend \{37.02%\} as the optimal feed protein content for \%Macrobrachium rosenbergii\% by linear regression.
