Structural Topological Optimization Research for Railway Wagon Bolster

The structural topological optimization was researched for the bolster of railway wagon based on the density method under the condition of stress constraint by HyperWorks/OptiStruct.On the basis of density contour,the new model was rebuild.Then the feasibility of the method was verified.The results show that the mass is decreased by 8.6% under all kinds of calculation conditions and strength requirment,which provided reference for the further application of topological optimization on the vehicles and parts.
