Stability Analysis and Weld Spots Layout Optimization for Stainless Steel Spot Weld Carbody

In order to study structure stability of stainless steel spot weld carbody,a complex finite element model of the carbody is established and analyzed under compression load according to EN12663-2010 standard.Then buckling parts of the carbody are determined and improved,and optimizations of spot weld layout of these parts are performed by variable density method and substructure analysis method.Based on to the optimization results and requirements of weld technology,the weld spot arrangement of the carbody is updated,and linear buckling analysis of the carbody is carried out again.The results show that buckling factors of those buckling parts are all greater than 1.5.
