Optimal time partition of TOU price based on cost-time curve

TOU price is an important measure for DSM. This paper presents a new partition method based on cost-time function curve.The cost-time funtion curve is integrated by cost function curve and load curve,reflecting the relationship between cost and time. Many groups of period partition would be gotten by using the triangle subject function. To seek for the optimal program, this paper establishes the TOU tariff structure considering price elasticity based on marginal cost principle,and gains the optimal partition method aiming at maximum benefit of grid corporation. Its feasibility is testified through numerical simulation. This theory can be used for grid corporation to establish TOU price.
