Voltage and Reactive Power Control for Power Systems

In a power system, both the active and reactive power demand may vary with time. Its node voltage and load flow vary as the power demand changes. The automatic control of voltage and reactive power, capable of makiog corrective decision instantly, is necessary for the restoration of the voltages at supervisory nodes and the reactive power flow on main tie lines to expected magnitude.On the basis of the sensitive matrix of control, the control equation in incremental form is derived.The solution of this equation is quickly found by means of the pseudo-inverse matrix technique.A flow chart for the proposed method and three numerical examples are given in the paper.
