ANALYSIS OF SYNCHRONIZED PHASOR MEASUREMENT RESULT OF A FAULT IN HEILONGJIANG EASTERN POWER SYSTEM

GPS based phasor measurement technique has been applied to power system event recording and dynamic analysiswidely. In this paper. dynamic data of a single-phase-to-ground fault recorded by 3 PMUs installed in the regional stabilitycontrol system of Heilongjiang eastern power system is introduced and analyzed. The data include the recorded dynamics ofrelative angles and relative frequencies of 3 different substations. The precision of the phasor measurement approach is alsodlscussed. The conclusion is drawn that the maximum error of measured phase angles caused by the approach depends on thesignal's frequency and is small enough for dynamic monitoring when system's frequency nears its rating.
