A METHOD COMBINING GENETIC ALGORITHM WITH SIMULATED ANNEALING APPROACH FOR THERMAL UNIT MAINTENANCE SCHEDULING

This paper introduces a genetic algorithm combined with simulated annealing approach to decide the thermal unitmaintenance scheduling with minimum cost including production and maintenance. Practical maintenance constraints areconsidered through penalty function. Combined with sirnulated annealing approach. the genetic algorithm is improved. Theeffectiveness of the approach is demonstrated by applying it to a practical system.
