Strategy for active pow er security correction is aim ed to adjust the operation m ode of a pow er system and to get am ore secure pow er system . It is m ainly used to alleviate overload of transm ission lines and tie line groups. The physicalm eaning of active generation sensitivity w ith respect to transm ission line is analyzed and the transform ing form ula ofsensitivity w hile changing slack generator is derived. Based on the sensitivity calculation⒙active generations w ith positivesensitivity and that w ith negative sensitivity are adjusted w ith opposite equal quantity in order to obtain a strategy w ith abalanced active pow er and m inim um adjustm ent value. This approach has been im plem ented in the E M Sof Northeast Pow er Netw ork. It has been show n that this approach is practical⒙robust and valid.
