REAL-TIME DYNAMIC SIMULATION FOR DTS

In order to meet the requirements of dynamic stability analysis in dispatcher training simulator (DTS). this paperproposes a series of methods to improve the dynamic stability program in DTS, such as : ① local topology analysis:② forming three sequence networks and calculating three sequence components in a selective way:③ using sparse v6ctortechnology: ④adding admittance diagonal elements with admittance of generators which are irrelative with status variables tospeed up iteration:⑤ presenting the conception of protective window to reduce time spent for protective informationcalculation:⑥ calculating dynamic result in a selective way:⑦ simulating relay protection taking account of fault type.Meanwhile, for the characteristics of DTS aiming at district network. this paper presents a new dynamic simulationprocedure: operation on fault--relay operation--operation on fault. The simulation result for a practical case illustrates thevalidity of the method and verifies that the demand of real-time simulation is satisfied.This project is supported by National Key Basic Research Special Fund of China (No. G1998020313).
