The transfer capability is important for all the partners participating in the electric power transaction activities. This paper put forward a m odel for calculating the transfer capability which incorporates comm only used FACTS devices such as thyristor controlled series com pensator TCSC ,thyristor controlled phase shifter TCPS and unified power flow controllers UPFC .This model considers constraints such as voltage limits,branch power limits and voltage stability limits resulting from saddle node bifurcation of power flow equations. The problem here is solved by a predictor- corrector prim al- dual log- barrier PCPDL B method as a sequence of linearized sub- problem . Numerical test results show that FACTS devices and their installation locations have different effects on the transfer capability of the networks. Meanwhile,the results also prove that the model and algorithm are effective and of application values.
