DIGITIZED COMPREHENSIVE TRANSMISSION PLAN OF SUBSTATION INFORMATION

Principles, technical conditions and methods of digitized comprehensive transmission of substation information ontelemetering. telesignalization, telecontrol. teleadjusting, remote viewing, remote diagnosis and maintenance, and faultrecording by lP technology are described. It is pointed out that the key technique is how to allocate the transmissionbandwidth of various types of information and how to control the transmission flow of information. A bandwidth allocatingmethod of giving first priority to the information with strong real--time properties and a method of constraining transmissionflow by controlling different transmission rate for various types of information from the sender are proposed. With respect tocommunication software. the concept of communication soft interface is presented. The communication software is dividedinto two layers. the lP transmitting layer and the protocol encoding/decoding layer. which is advantageous to thestandardization of the transmission protocol. It has been proved that the method proposed can meet the real-time requirementsfor various types of information by the EI channel test. The conclusion is also applicable to broadband data transmissionbased on lP technology.
