SURROGATE CONSTRAINT ALGORITHM FOR OPTIMAL POWER FLOW BASED ON THE ENTROPY THEORY

There are many of inequality constraints difficult to handle for optimal power flow. Aiming at the characteristic. the surrogate constraint algorithm for optimal power flow is further researched in this paper. By analyzing the algorithm's capability for handling inequality constraints and the algorithm's accuracy, it shows that this algorithm can improve calculation speed and identify weak spots of power system, which is similar to interior point method. According to the definition of minimum free energy. That effectivity of lots of inequality constraints submits to Bolzemann distribution in power system is also deduced, and the thermodynamics mechanism of surrogate constraint method for optimal power flow is investigated. An example given in this paper shows that this algorithm is feasible and effective.
