HYDRO POWER OPTIMIZATION IN COMPETITION WITH THERMAL GENERATION

It has been investigated the way for hydro power plants to participate in com petition with thermal generation.The mathem atical m odel with hydro operation constraints taken into consideration is proposed,such as electrical energy limits, the hydraulic variation characteristics,etc.The corresponding algorithm is proposed and has been put into real application. The num erical results show that both the m odel and algorithm proposed in this paper are effective.This paper provides a new strategy in the generation competition of hydrothermal coordination.
