A NEW METHOD TO CUSTOMIZE SECONDARY DEVICES SIMULATION IN DISPATCHER TRAINING SIMULATOR (DTS)

The developing dispatcher training simulator (DTS) is increasingly raising the demand for the simulation of secondary devices. However it is difficult to research and program due to the complexity and diversity of secondary devices. This paper presents a new method to customize secondary devices simulation. A kind of script language is designed to define the models of secondary devices, which is interpreted by the inner driver program. Thus the system provides users an approach to simulate new kinds of devices. Meanwhile, the introduction of component models, which describe the common parts of different secondary devices, reduces users' work. This paper also provides some solutions to the problem of the data management and to the problem of simulation speed. In this way, the efficiency of simulation is improved. As the result, users can define secondary devices flexibly and can control the process of power flow calculation and fault calculation by themselves.
