QUANTITATIVE ASSESSMENTS OF TRANSIENT FREQUENCY DEVIATION ACCEPTABILITY

Transient frequency deviation acceptability should be considered for transient security assessments. A set of two element tables is proposed to describe transient frequency deviation acceptability for individual bus or generator, and the relevant margin is defined in this paper. Moreover, the relationship among transient frequency deviation acceptability, transient voltage security and transient angle stability is clarified, and the critical value searching strategy for transient frequency deviation acceptability is put forward. The effectiveness and speediness of the proposed method have been verified on a practical power system.
