TECHNOLOGY ANALYSIS OF STATE MONITORING AND FAULT DIAGNOSIS IN ELECTRIC POWER SYSTEMS

The problems existing in the research and application of state monitoring and fault diagnosis in electric power systems in China are analyzed. In view of these problems, the tasks of state monitoring and fault diagnosis, the characteristics of faults in electric power systems, the execution conditions and key techniques of state monitoring are discussed. The techniques of data processing and analysis in state monitoring are also described. It is pointed out that the"state classification" and "processing decision" are crucial techniques in data analysis. On the basis of an introduction to the status and development of state monitoring at home and abroad, it is pointed out that state monitoring cannot be developed in China until after the management system is reformed and state based maintenance is implemented.
