THE SEPARATION/COMBINATION OF POWER SYSTEM MODEL BASED ON CIM

The significance of the separation/combination of CIM/XML based power system models is illustrated in terms of brief introduction to the IEC61970 standard and the interoperability tests. The principle and method of the separation/combination are proposed. The specification defines that the smallest separate unit is Substation, the separated models have relationship and overlap, and none of the information loses. The proposed separation/combination method is feasible through the test on real system. However, it is expected to be recognized by other experts and to be validated by interoperability tests.
