DISTANCE PROTECTION OF DOUBLE-CIRCUIT LINE ON THE SAME POLE WHEN PHASE TO PHASE FAULT OCCURS

This paper analyses the rule of variations measuring impedance of distance relay when phase to phase fault occurs between two lines on double circuit line on the same pole (DLSP). This paper presents that the protection for the phase to phase fault should be composed of high frequency teleprotection channel and overreached distance relay. The setting of overreached impedance is also discussed. EMTDC dynamic simulation tests prove that the conclusion is correct.
