THEORETICAL ANALYSIS OF THE SELF-ADAPTIVE BLOCKING CRITERION OF POWER SWINGS

A novel self-adaptive power swing blocking scheme is proposed based on the facts that when the apparent impedance locus passes through boundaries of two impedance circles, there must exist the finite time difference with different sensitivity and the rate between the time of the locus staying in the inside circle. For the implementation of this scheme, the worst condition for the correct action of the proposed criterion is presumed and proved.
